Founded by a small group of volunteers in 1999, Masicorp has partnered with the people of Masiphumelele to expand educational and skills development opportunities. This is achieved by listening to the community’s needs, recognising that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Formally registered as an NPO in 2005, today Masicorp’s education and skills development programmes benefit nearly 4000 members of the Masiphumelele community annually.
Masicorp is registered in South Africa, the USA, the UK and the Netherlands, with our headquarters on the Chasmay Road Campus near Masiphumelele, Cape Town, South Africa.
Our vision is to ensure everyone in Masiphumelele has access to quality education, training, and support. We work with community leaders and partners to provide a wide range of educational programmes.
These programmes range from Early Childhood Development (ECD) programmes, to literacy and numeracy programmes for Primary School children, and skills development programmes in sewing and computers for adults and youth.
